Announcement to Business Application Students
Students who
are required to take Business Apps as a certificate requirement can
substitute the following 1/2 day classes (in version 03 or 07) to fulfill
the requirement:
Word 1, Word 2, Excel 1, Excel 2, PowerPoint, Outlook, XP to Vista, and 03
to 07. (See list of half-day classes.)

Business Applications |
Learn the basics of
the Microsoft Office Suite. Class features WORD, the leading software
for document preparation in the business world, EXCEL for tables,
spreadsheets and basic accounting functions, POWERPOINT for
attention-getting presentations, and OUTLOOK for powerful email
management. NOTE: The Business Apps requirement can be met through
the following 1/2 day classes for discount of $31: Word 1 and 2, Excel 1
and 2, Outlook, XP to Vista and Microsoft 03 to 07.

| The
Receptionist answers questions and provides information to callers
and visitors. As the first contact for any organization, the
Receptionist must be professional. Required courses for certificate:

Legal Secretary |
| The skilled Legal
Secretary works with legal terminology, procedures and documents.
They prepare legal papers and correspondence, such as summonses,
complaints, motions and subpoenas. May also assist with legal
research. Required courses for certificate: Office Technology Tier 1
and 2, Legal Office Concepts/Procedures*, Legal Terminology*, Legal
Transcription*, Publisher*, + 45 wpm keyboarding *These classes can
be taken concurrently with Instructor arrangements. |

Assistant/Secretary |
| The Administrative
Assistant or Secretary provides high-level administrative support by
conducting research, preparing statistical reports, handling
information requests and performing routine clerical functions.
Required courses for Certificate: Office Technology Tier 1 and 2,
45wpm keyboarding, *Publisher. *This class can be taken concurrently
with Instructor arrangements. |

| With training in
office procedures as well as Accounting, this training will prepare
the student to run all aspects of a business office. Required
courses for certificate: Office Technology Tier 1 and 2, Accounting
1, QuickBooks, *20 hour internship, *Publisher + 45wpm keyboarding.

| The file clerk is
responsible for filing and maintaining correspondence, billing,
invoices or other records in alpha or numeric order for accurate
