Computer Repair

CompTIA A+ Computer Essentials

Whether you want to be a power-user for personal reasons or are looking for a career change, this course can do both. Class includes knowledge of basic computer hardware and operating systems, covering skills such as installation, building, upgrading, repairing, configuring , troubleshooting, optimizing, diagnosing and preventive maintenance and security. This class can prepare the student to pass the CompTIA exam that provides an entry point into an IT career. Job roles associated with CompTIA A+ are Remote Support Technician and Service Desk Technician and Help Desk Technician. Late enrollment possible. Class starts 8/11/08. Computer Aided Design and Drawing (AutoCAD)

CADD (Computer Aided Design and Drawing)

Enjoy a state-of-the-art lab in our classroom fitted with the latest technology. The computer has completely changed drafting and designing. Utilizing SolidWorks and AutoCAD LTŪ, this class will teach the basics of how to create a 2-D and 3-D design from the sketch, manipulation of CAD objects, pictorial representations, mechanical CAD, geometric construction, sectional views and more. Required courses for certificate: Intro, Intermediate and Advanced CADD, C&CR (Catalog, page 22). *Returning students pay material fee only.

The Full Charge Bookkeeper performs complex administrative and
financial functions for a business organization including accounts payable, receivables, payroll and banking. Required courses for Certificate: Accounting 1 and 2, Office Technology 9:00am-2:00pm, QuickBooks, Excel for Accounting, C&CR (See registration information).

The Accounting Clerk computes, classifies, and records numerical data to keep financial records complete. Required courses for Certificate: Office Technology T1, Accounting 1, QuickBooks, *Proofreading, *Telephone Techniques. *These classes can be taken concurrently with Instructor arrangements.

 

Small Business Management

Turn your dream of starting your own business into reality with confidence.  Learn how to create a successful business plan and improve your skills in pricing, marketing and advertising. Course includes training in management topics such as legal issues, Human Resources, insurance and technology. Financial management is important to successful small business and this class includes training in record keeping, sales tracking, basic accounting, taxes, cash flow and income/financial statements.
