Intro to eBay

Taught by an official eBay “Power Seller”, this class will teach the techniques of successful buying and selling on eBay. Course covers how to open an eBay account, make bids, offer items for sale, collect payment, track bids, watch items, search for items, use PayPal and much more. Learn how to price items based on previous auctions. Students will go through entire sales transactions during the course of this class. (Students should register with eBay before class begins and instructions on how to do this are provided at registration.)

Tai Chi

Tai Chi

Tai Chi is well-known as the slow-motion routines that people around the world practice daily, often outdoors and in groups. Research has shown that benefits of this ancient Chinese discipline include muscle strengthening, flexibility, and balance control. Open to people of all levels of fitness. Spanish Language Classes

Conversational Spanish

Spanish class is comprised of speaking, listening, and writing exercises and activities with an emphasis on building vocabulary. Course is designed for both beginner and continuing Spanish learners.

Introduction to Dancing

No partner is needed to enroll in this popular dance class. This is a great way to have fun, meet new people and get exercise. Each class covers at least one of the following dance steps: East Coast Swing, West Coast Swing, Lindy Hop, Jitterbug, Street Hustle, Salsa, Night Club 2 Step, and modern Cha-Cha. You Can Survive Alone

This class is designed to assist the surviving spouse/significant other in dealing with the myriad of paperwork required following the death of a loved one (i.e., changing account names, titles, notifying Social Security, pension plans, etc.). In many cases, paperwork was usually handled by the deceased, leaving the survivor at a total loss. Class will provide survival skills to ease the transition, while providing students with a priority list of entities to be notified.

Historical and Current Perspectives/History of Butte County

One-Stroke Painting

Using the one-stroke method, students will learn to master a few simple techniques and open up the world of decorative painting! Learn how to paint roses, pansies, wildflowers, sunflowers and more from one of the original artists of the one-stroke technique. Required brushes: #12 Flat Shader Brush. Four Scrapbooks in Four Classes

Rockhounding 101

Agates, quartz crystals, feldspar, petrified wood….if you like rocks and minerals you will enjoy this fun and informational class. Gun Safety/Concealed Weapons 

Preparation for Concealed Weapons Permit
This two-part class will prepare the student in weapon safety, Butte County rules and regulations, and application processes. The fees cover classroom and range qualification. Eligible students must have no felony convictions. Fee based.   Do NOT bring your weapon to class.
