Dear Community Member,
Thank you for looking at the Summer and Fall 2008 Oroville Adult Education-Career and Technical Center brochure. We have added new career and technical education programs as well as changed some of our computer classes.
I know that with the rising costs of gas, food and housing, many of you are realizing the importance of keeping your job skills updated. We have tried to offer you a great selection of quality classes at low or no cost. We have even changed our computer classes so that you can now take an eight-week class or a software-specific, one-day class. We’ve also added some new certificates that can be earned by combining some of our core classes. Look for these classes under the black banners.
OAE is also offering two new Home Health Aide programs. The first program is for people that have no experience in the health care field. This program is 173 hours in length and will teach students all of the skills necessary to pass the California certification exam for Home Health Aides. The second program is for people who are currently Certified Nurse Assistants. This 40-hour program will teach students the skills necessary to be recognized as a Home Health Aide in California.
OAE is also very pleased to announce a new Multi Media Design Program. This 396-hour program will teach students how to use technology to design presentations in many of the current medias available. Students that successfully complete this program will qualify to take the Adobe Certified Associate exam.
OAE has many great educational programs and I hope you take a class and experience for yourself our quality classes and great staff. See you in class!
