CNAs |
| This
40.5 hour course is designed as an added course to follow a nurse
assistant curriculum that meets federal and state training
regulations. The curriculum covers five elements of instruction
that include introduction to the aide and the agency role,
interpretation for medical and social needs of the client, personal
care services, nutrition, and cleaning and care tasks in the home.
The total theory and clinical hours are required to meet the
Department of Health Services approval. Satisfactory completion of
the approved program entitles the student to be issued a Home Health
Aide Certificate by DHS. Student must be currently C.N.A. certified
by the State of California, have a current CPR/BLS, TB test and have
a final CASAS assessment score of 236. Note: Students must return
forms from application packet at least two weeks before class starts
to ensure completion of State application requirements. |
